There is no record of Richard’s baptism at St. Michael’s, Framlingham, however, since he entered Cambridge in 1646 and his older brother, Samuel, entered in 1641 at the age of 14, Richard was probably born about 1628-30, and as might be expected, there is a gap in the family baptismal records during those years.
