Richard Golty of Hutton
There is no record of Richard’s baptism at St. Michael’s, Framlingham, however, since he entered Cambridge in 1646 and his older brother, Samuel, entered in 1641 at the age of 14, Richard was probably born about 1628-30, and as might be expected, there is a gap in the family baptismal records during those years. Samuel was the eldest son of Richard and Deborah (Ward) Golty of Framlingham. He was baptized at St. Michael’s on December 19, 1627. Continue reading
Richard Golty of Framlingham
Richard Golty was born somewhere in the Ipswich area of Suffolk, the eldest son of Edmund and Susan Goltye. According to the memorial plaque in St. Michael’s church, he died at the age of 84 which would have him born in 1594. Since he entered Cambridge in 1613 that would mean he entered college at the age of 19, which was not uncommon. Continue reading

This is the Thomas Peck, clerk, of Prittlewell in Essex who was the husband of Abigail Rogers, daughter of John Rogers of Dedham, clerk.
Thomas was baptized 6 Sep 1608 at Hingham, Norfolk, England, the son of Robert Peck, minister of Hingham.
From the alumni records of Cambridge we learn that Thomas, son of Robert, was admitted sizar at Jesus College August 7, 1624. He received his B.A. from Emmanuel in 1627/8 and his M.A. in 1631. Continue reading
