Calais Pier, Sloop returning to Port
Robert Green in his book, The History, Topography and Antiquities of Framlingham and Saxted, gives a brief synopsis of the life of Richard Golty, Rector of Framlingham. Within that synopsis is a sentence about his grandfather, the subject of this article, who I am calling “Richard Goltye of Ipswich”. Mr. Green quotes:
